Ajuga Bronze (Ajuga reptans)
Quick bronze. Leafed creeper. Spreads faster than any other variety - a thick 4-6" mat of evergreen foliage. Blooms: May-June. Rich purple flowers. Not at all fussy. Holds its own in the poorest soils. Full sun to partial shade.
Baltic Ivy
Sub-zero type that spreads rapidly. Small evergreen leaf. Does well in the Northern states. Full sun to partial shade.

Boston Ivy (Parthenocissus tricuspidata)
Climbs without support. Clings to a brick or a trellis, even in strong winds. Quickly grows 30-40 feet. Dark, luxurious foliage turns a coppery-red in Fall. Best used on wire or masonry - its roots may damage wooden structures. Full sun to partial shade.

English Ivy (Hedera helix)
Distinctive, hardy ground ivy for Southern landscapes. Spreads rapidly to cover unsightly areas. Foliage chartreuse in color turning to shiny dark green as it grows older. Bigger leaf than the Baltic Ivy. Ideal cover for tree stumps, rocks or under trees. Plant I feet apart. Full sun to partial shade.

The fast growing ground cover is ideal in sun or shade. It will grow in any type of well drained soil. Year round color gives it a plush carpet-like effect making this an excellent plant for slopes and hard to cover places. Ideal as covering for tree stumps, walls and fences. Trumpet Vine (Campsis radicans)
(a.k.a. 'Trumpet Creeper'). Climbs to 35 feet without a trellis. Clings to walls and climbs without support. Does well in a free-standing position if stalked for 2-3 years. Can also be used as a colorful groundcover. Fernlike foliage is bright green - a lacy backdrop for big trumpet-shaped flowers June to September. Hardy. Plant 6-8" apart. Full sun to partial shade.
